The Governor of West Darfur, Bahr al-Din Adam Karama, clarified that his recent statements about military operations were in response to the governor of the region. Karama stated that what some circulated on social media was a misinterpretation of his recent statements related to the conduct of military operations in Darfur, and inaccurately linked them to the positions of the governor of the Darfur region, for whom he has all appreciation and respect.

He added that he would like to make it clear that he does not doubt for a moment the patriotism of the man, nor his sincerity and keenness to restore security and stability and liberate every inch of Sudan’s soil from any rebellion or chaos. We are partners in the same trench, share the same national concerns, work according to a unified vision based on supporting the national army, unifying the word, and harnessing all possibilities to liberate the country from the grip of militias and mercenaries.

Our battle today is bigger than individuals; it is a battle of destiny and homeland, which requires the highest degree of discipline, solidarity, and the primacy of the national interest over any bidding or misinterpretations. We reiterate our respect for the brother Governor of the Darfur region, and we appreciate his national efforts. We call on everyone to be precise and to stay away from attempts to drive a wedge that only serves the common enemy.
