Nuwara briefed on the Ministry of Energy and Oil’s efforts to stabilize the electricity supply

Sovereignty Council member Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohammed Mohammed Taher was briefed on the Ministry of Energy and Oil’s efforts to stabilize the electricity supply and the flow of petroleum derivatives.

This came during her meeting today with Dr. Mohieddin Naim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Oil, who said that the meeting addressed the electricity issue in eastern Sudan. He added that he briefed the Sovereignty Council member on the electricity situation in Port Sudan, along with electricity projects in eastern Sudan in general, the status of oil production, and the ministry’s efforts to repair the Port Sudan refinery.

Dr. Mohieddin Naim said that he listened to the Sovereignty Council member’s directives regarding social responsibility, stressing the need to organize it in a manner that meets citizens’ aspirations.
