The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the end of the electronic application period for general admission (first round) for the deferred batch of Sudanese certificate holders for the year 2023, as well as for Arab and foreign certificates. This announcement was made during the receipt of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Prof. Mohamed Hassan Dahab, of the report concluding the presentation from Eng. Dr. Babiker Hussein Ahmed, Director General of the General Department of Information Technology and Networks.

Dr. Babiker Hussein explained that the electronic application began on June 28. The Ministry extended the application period for additional days, which ended on July 10, providing the opportunity for the majority of students to complete their procedures easily and conveniently.

He pointed out that the number of applicants exceeded expectations, as more than 90,000 students completed the electronic application process smoothly, thanks to the ministry’s follow-up and treatment of any obstacles they faced.

Prof. Dahab pointed out that the success of the electronic application reflects the desire of Sudanese students, both from inside and outside the country, to continue their education within the country, stressing the nobility of Sudanese higher education institutions and their ability to absorb students and contribute effectively to building their future.

He added that this step reflects the determination of educational institutions, students, and their families to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
