Finance Minister Sets Ministry’s Work Directives and Ensures Performance

Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, set the ministry’s work directives for the current phase.
These directives include increasing efforts to continue assuming responsibility for managing state affairs, financing the war effort for the Battle of Dignity, financing production to ensure its continuity, reconstructing war-affected states, providing for the return of citizens to their homes, and implementing laws and regulations that enhance the protection of public funds.
In an expanded meeting with the Undersecretary and Directors-General, he emphasized the importance of the Ministry of Finance’s leadership in implementing digital transformation, keeping pace with developments in this field, and localizing global technical systems and financial regulations in regional and international banks, aligning them with the requirements of the national economy, thus providing the flexibility required to deal with external financing institutions for the benefit of reconstruction and sustainable development.

Undersecretary of the Ministry, Abdalla Ibrahim revealed that all financial obligations have been met since the beginning of the fiscal year, according to the established priorities, most notably the war effort, workers’ compensation, pension entitlements, and essential service sectors.
He highlighted the importance of leveraging partnerships with the private sector to rebuild and reconstruct what was destroyed by the war and to implement peace-sustaining projects.
He emphasized that the Ministry’s overall performance is reassuring and proceeding according to plan.

For their part, the Directors General presented detailed reports on performance, the challenges it faces, and the requirements for remediation.
