Al-Sadig Ismail Meets with the Qatari President of the ICRC

Lieutenant General Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, Advisor to the Head of the Sovereignty Council for Organizations and Humanitarian Action, met with Daniel O’Malley, the Regional President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sudan. The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in the country, particularly in war-affected areas.

O’Malley said the meeting was fruitful and constructive, during which the ICRC’s humanitarian efforts across the country were reviewed. He indicated that the meeting also addressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between national and international organizations to provide humanitarian needs to those in need. The meeting also addressed the assistance provided by the ICRC to women and children.
