The Federal Emergency Operations Center held its meeting at the office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, at the ministry’s headquarters, reviewing the health situation in the country and interventions.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health , Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, directed that efforts continue to remedy the expected health risks associated with the autumn season and to develop a solid plan through which needs are identified and coordination with partners from international, UN, and national organizations is achieved.
The report on the epidemiological situation of cholera revealed that the cumulative number of infections since the beginning of the registration of infections in Khartoum State is 22,277, including 407 deaths.
While the health promotion report referred to the activities carried out during the week, which included messages through various media and social media, community dialogues, home visits, and awareness of cholera in a number of states.
The National Public Health Laboratory submitted a report on the details of the samples examined in the laboratory and state laboratories within a week, as well as the status of the supply of laboratory diagnostic aids.
The quarantine report announced that 20,189 people arrived in the country last week, while 6,916 people left, and 717 people visited emergency clinics at the entrances. The autumn report noted the damage from the fall of 2024 and the development of a 2025 plan at a cost of EGP 20 billion.
