Salva Kiir Leaves Juba for the UAE

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit departed Juba this afternoon for the United Arab Emirates on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and encouraging investment in South Sudan.

President Kiir is expected to meet with business leaders and government officials in the UAE, where he will seek to emphasize that South Sudan is becoming more stable and investment-ready.

Press Secretary Ambassador David Amor Majur said that President Kiir will meet with several investment groups, presenting them with investment opportunities in vital sectors in South Sudan.

This visit follows reforms undertaken by the government to improve the business climate and attract foreign direct investment.

President Kiir will also meet with leaders from the UAE to discuss issues of mutual interest, such as regional peace, the state of trade relations, and ways to cooperate in infrastructure development.

This visit is part of broader diplomatic efforts by the South Sudanese government to enhance international cooperation, strengthen global partnerships, and support the country’s post-conflict reconstruction through sustainable economic growth, according to local media.
