Prime Minister Meets Chinese Chargé d’Affaires

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met with Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Zhang Xianhua, as part of his commitment to strengthening relations with all countries, especially China.

The Chinese Chargé d’Affaires said in press statements that the meeting addressed aspects of developing bilateral cooperation and issues of common interest between the two countries, expressing China’s interest in enhancing relations with Sudan.

He added that the meeting discussed implementing the outcomes of the Beijing Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which was held last year with the participation of a Sudanese delegation headed by Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.

The ambassador said that China is ready to contribute to the implementation of development projects and to reconstruction projects that have been destroyed by the war.

The ambassador extended his congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and on the occasion of Dr. Kamel Idriss assumed the position of Prime Minister, expressing his hope that he would succeed in the tasks entrusted to him.
