Ministry of Higher Education continues preparations for the launch of electronic university application

As part of the ongoing preparations for the launch of electronic university applications for the deferred batch of Sudanese Certificate holders for 2023, as well as Arab and foreign certificates, the Higher Committee for Electronic Applications at the Ministry of Higher Education held a meeting at the ministry’s temporary headquarters in Port Sudan.
The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, with the participation of a number of information technology and network experts and representatives of relevant departments, including the General Administration of Information Technology and Networks, the General Administration of Admission, Evaluation and Documentation of Certificates, and the Finance Department.

The meeting discussed technical and administrative arrangements related to electronic application, and engineers from the General Administration of Information Technology reviewed detailed reports on technical aspects, including the readiness of the infrastructure, databases, and admissions guide, in addition to preparations for the Response and Support Center and organizational issues related to application. The Undersecretary assured the department of its progress and emphasized the need to complete the guidance aspects for students and expedite the preparation of the second support and response center in Khartoum State, as part of the gradual return to Khartoum State, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directives.

In the same context, the committee discussed a number of proposals aimed at improving performance and simplifying procedures. The General Administration of Information Technology and Networks affirmed its continued technical efforts to launch the electronic application process as soon as possible.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Undersecretary directed the relevant departments to expedite the completion of the remaining arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure launch of the electronic application process.
