Director of the Red Sea Quarantine Sector Praises the Performance of the Technical Committee for the Hajj Season at Entry Points

Dr. Ahmed Darir, Director of the Red Sea Quarantine Sector, praised the efforts of the Technical Committee for the 2025 Hajj Season at the sea and air entry points in the Red Sea Sector.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all members of the committee, including medical and health personnel, for their significant efforts in providing services and monitoring any emergencies during the convoy operations for Sudanese pilgrims.

This came during his supervisory visit to Prince Osman Digna Port in Suakin to monitor the progress of the technical committee’s work.
He listened to a detailed briefing on the committee’s work and the interventions it implemented, which confirmed that all entry points witnessed stable healthy conditions and the safety and health of pilgrims.
He announced the continuation of these interventions until the arrival of the last convoy by air.

The arrival of (832) pilgrims, the fourth and final group of sea pilgrims, was safely received after undergoing health procedures upon arrival.

The sector director and his accompanying delegation also reviewed the work of the technical committee for responding to sunstroke and heat stress at entry points and the ongoing arrangements for the committee’s work.

He praised the efforts of the committee, which has been monitoring the health situation at entry points in the Red Sea sector. He also checked on the status of the medical supply at the quarantine clinics at Port Sudan Airport and Osman Digna Port in Suakin. He thanked the General Administration of Emergency and Epidemic Control at the Federal Ministry of Health for providing supplies and equipment to the entry point clinics.

He expressed his thanks to the Red Sea State Health Sector, its partners, and relevant authorities at the sea, air, and land entry points in the Red Sea sector.
