Arrival of the Second Group of Sudanese Returnees from the Islamic Republic of Iran

The second group of returnees from the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Sudan. They were received at Port Sudan Airport by the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Expatriates Affairs Organization, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sayed Ahmed, and a number of members of the Emergency Room for Evacuating Sudanese from Disaster Areas.
In a press statement, Dr. Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the Room, emphasized the state’s commitment to evacuating Sudanese wishing to return home, praising the good coordination between the relevant authorities, which has had a positive impact on the work.
Dr. Hassan Babiker, Director General of Communities and Immigration at the Sudanese Expatriates Affairs Organization and Rapporteur of the Emergency Room, indicated the room’s continued efforts to complete the evacuation of members of the Sudanese community in Iran. He also referred to the efforts and long-standing experience of the Expatriates Affairs Organization in evacuating Sudanese during wars and voluntary return programs.
A number of returnees from the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed their appreciation to the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the ministers, and the agencies that contributed to the completion of the process. They commended the government’s interest and commitment to their evacuation, praising the services and facilities provided by the embassies in Turkey and Iran, and the efforts of theSecretariat of thevSudanese Working Abroad
