WHO supports Sudan’s health system

The WHO office in Port Sudan held a meeting at the invitation of the Director of the Office in Sudan, Dr. Shibl Sahbani, to review the activities and plans implemented during the past two years, especially in light of the challenges imposed by the war in Sudan. The meeting provided detailed insight into WHO’s priorities, challenges, and lessons learned to support the health system.
Dr. Shibl Sahbani stressed the continuation of cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health in accordance with its vision and approved plans, emphasizing the need to attract more partners to support the health sector and expand its activities.
Dr. Sarah Elias Al-Amir, Advisor to the Minister of Health and his representative at the meeting, expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the World Health Organization, stressing the continued cooperation with all partners to enhance health services, and calling for more support and contributions for the reconstruction of the health sector.
