The Federal Ministry of Health and the Saudi Embassy inaugurate free specialized surgeries at Bawarith Military Hospital

The Federal Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Saudi Embassy, launched a free surgical campaign at Bawarith Military Hospital in Port Sudan, which aims to perform 70 surgeries during the period from 6 to 5 May 2025, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and implemented by the Muslim World League. The campaign targets specialized surgeries including urological stones, urological tumors, urological diseases in women, urinary tract restoration, and diseases of the reproductive system and prostate.

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, praised the continuous support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sudanese health sector, praising the great efforts made by the Saudi Embassy in cooperation with the Ministry to provide medical assistance and meet the needs of the sick and wounded. He also praised the Saudi medical team that performs delicate operations within the medical convoys supported by the King Salman Center, and explained that the campaign is one of a series of ongoing efforts .
