The meeting of the Federal Emergency Operations Center reviewed the status of the health situation in the country and the interventions implemented by the various departments. The surveillance and information report confirmed the registration of 498 cases of cholera during the past week, most of them from Khartoum State, bringing the cumulative number of infections in all of Sudan to 60,228, including 1,617 deaths, from 88 localities in 12 states. Meanwhile, 127 cases of dengue fever were recorded, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 11,893 from 12 states, including 20 deaths. Additionally, 132 cases of measles were recorded, bringing the cumulative total to 1,092 infections, with no deaths reported, in 38 localities from 9 states. The report also revealed 194 cases of hepatitis, most of which were in West Kassala locality, with a cumulative total of 819 infections.
