Minister of Culture and Information values high UNESCO’s decision in support of the culture and education sectors

Minister of Culture and Information and Government Spokesperson, Khaled Al-Eiser, valued the UNESCO resolution on the protection of the culture and education sectors in Sudan. Al-Eiser confirmed in a tweet, that the ministry expresses its deep appreciation for this decision in support of the country’s culture, education and media and communications sectors, and thanked the UNESCO Executive Council and the countries that contributed to the adoption of the decision. He noted the Sudanese government’s full commitment to provide all forms of support and cooperation to revive the education system, protect journalists, and combat illegal trafficking in cultural property, within the framework of the national plan aimed at strengthening partnership with the United Nations, protecting cultural heritage from looting and sabotage, and consolidating The role of culture, education and media in building peace and achieving sustainable development in Sudan.
