Federal Minister of Health inspects the health situation in Gezira State

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, conducted an inspection visit to Gezira State to see the health situation following its liberation.

The Minister was accompanied by a number of leaders of the Ministry of Health, where he was received by the Director General of Health in the state, Dr. Osama Abdul Rahman Al-Faki.

The Minister discussed with officials the ministry’s plan to restore health services in the state after the damage caused by the Rapid Support Militia, which included looting and stealing medicine stocks from medical supply stores and destroying infrastructure. He also pointed to the start of the return of hospitals to work and the return of citizens, which requires the provision of comprehensive health services.

The Minister promised to provide all the required medical needs, including filling the gaps in hospitals and providing them with solar energy, stressing the importance of supporting medical staff to ensure the continued provision of health services.

Dr. Osama Abdul Rahman Al-Faki explained that the visit is a great support for health work in the state, expressing his hope that the health system in the state of Gezira will return better than it was.
