Jaber Praises the Netherlands’ Supportive Positions

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, praised the advanced level of bilateral relations between Sudan and the Netherlands in all fields.

During a meeting today at his office in Port Sudan with the Dutch Chargé d’Affaires, Veresh Ramsook, Jaber emphasized the importance of strengthening relations and advancing them towards horizons of joint cooperation. He praised the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Netherlands during the recent period.

The meeting addressed the overall humanitarian and security issues in the country, developments on the ground, the conditions of refugees and displaced persons, the need to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it, and facilitating the work of relief teams and humanitarian workers.

The meeting also discussed the developments in the British capital, London, regarding the conference on Sudan held on April 15th and the expected role of civil society.

For his part, the Dutch Chargé d’Affaires said that today’s visit is his first mission to Sudan, noting the distinguished relations between Sudan and the Netherlands.

He emphasized his country’s commitment to stability and security in Sudan, which positively impacts the region and limits the continued flow of refugees.

The Dutch Chargé d’Affaires expressed his hope that the efforts made will be crowned with security, stability, and peace in Sudan and end the suffering of its citizens.
