Health minister conducts inspection visits to health facilities in Gezira State

As part of his field tours, the Acting Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, accompanied by the Director General of the Health Sector in the State of Gezira, Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, and the federal delegation, visited Abu Ashr Hospitals, Al-Maaliq, Al-Sariha, Cape Al-Jaddad, and Azraq Village Health Center. The tour aims to assess the level of availability of health services and assess the needs needed to restore activity in medical facilities damaged by the war.

The minister praised the great efforts made by the Ministry of Health in Gezira State to restore health services, announcing the ministry’s commitment to providing the required aids and supporting medical facilities in the state.
He also praised the effective role provided by the localities, stressing the importance of the cooperation of all local authorities and society to ensure the stability of health conditions, pointing to the size of the great liabilities facing the health sector in the state.
