GIS mourns Lieutenant-General Pilot Al-Fateh Urwa

Lieutenant-General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director-General of the General Intelligence Service (GIS), mourns in his name and on behalf of all the employees of the GIS, Lieutenant-General Pilot Al-Fateh Muhammad Ahmed Urwa, who moved to the side of his Lord yesterday, Wednesday the ninth of April 2025, in the United States, after a journey full of national giving. The Director-General described the deceased as one of the symbols of the security and military work in Sudan, distinguished by wisdom, discipline and leadership, and he combined firmness and humility, and provided the country with great services in various fields. He added that Lieutenant-General Al-Fateh Urwa remained an example of patriotism, integrity and dedication, and was appreciated by everyone who knew him or worked with him.
He stressed that the departure of Lieutenant-General Urwa is a great loss for the homeland, as with his departure we bid farewell to a great national stature and a pillar of security work, noting that he always answered the call of the homeland without tirelessness or hesitation.
