Federal Minister of Health calls for the reconstruction of health institutions in Khartoum State

In his seventh visit to Khartoum State, the Acting Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, launched an appeal for the reconstruction of health institutions from inside Al-Shaab Hospital for the second time under the slogan “Your hand is with us for our hospital”, calling on the people of the country and regional and international organizations to contribute to the reconstruction of the health sector.
The Minister was accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, the Minister of Health in the state, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Al-Amin, and the Minister of Health in Gezira State, Dr. Osama Abdul Rahman, along with a number of health leaders. The tour included Sharq Al- Nile hospitals, Alban Jadid, Zainab Dialysis Center, Al-Shaab Hospital, Khartoum Teaching Center, Dental, and the National Public Health Laboratory (STACK), in addition to the Al-Shajara Military Area and the Armored Corps, where the minister was briefed on the great destruction caused to these institutions as a result of their targeting by the Rapid Support Militias, stressing the importance of gradually restarting the institutions.
The minister affirmed his full commitment to the rehabilitation of health facilities and the provision of the necessary medical devices and equipment, noting that there are a large number of devices that have not been destroyed, which facilitates the process of restoring health services soon. He also noted the importance of joint work between the Federal Ministry of Health and Khartoum State to restart reference hospitals, especially in the liberated areas in central Khartoum.
For his part, the governor of Khartoum praised the armed forces and other regular forces that contributed to the liberation of the state from the Rapid Support militias, stressing his government’s keenness to restore medical services in the liberated areas gradually. As part of the tour, the federal delegation visited the Al-Shajara military area of the armored corps, where they congratulated the Sudanese army on its victories.
