Federal Minister of Health affirms his support for the University of Health Sciences

The Acting Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, met with the Director of the University of Health Sciences, Professor Hamdanallah, in his quarantine office in Port Sudan, where the two parties discussed ways to rehabilitate the university’s institutions and form the Council of Professors, in addition to the adoption of master’s curricula for the Institute of Public Health, and the return of the main centers of the university to Khartoum State.

The Minister stressed the importance of the University of Health Sciences as an essential tributary to the health system, stressing the need for the continued flow of its medical cadres on a regular basis. He also pointed to the importance of reactivating bridging programs for health frameworks, because of their role in developing cadres and ensuring the provision of health services more efficiently, especially in light of the circumstances the country is going through.

The Minister expressed his commitment to overcoming the obstacles facing the Academy and students, especially the financial challenges, stressing the importance of completing the study and ensuring the continuity of training and development for health cadres.

Prof. Hamdanallah Seralkhatem revealed the start of procedures for returning to Khartoum , stressing the importance of university cadres in supporting the health system and providing services to citizens
