An emergency meeting to follow up on the health situation of the liberated areas

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, chaired the meeting to discuss the health situation of prisoners and evaluate urgent interventions, in the presence of the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Amal Abdo, and the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir, along with the relevant ministry leaders.
The meeting heard a comprehensive report from Khartoum State on the cases that reached health institutions and the health services provided. The report pointed to the formation of a committee to follow up on prisoners and citizens returning from areas that were under the control of the Militias.

The Minister stressed the importance of urgent interventions and the speed of response to provide health services to prisoners and citizens in the affected areas.

The Minister called for concerted efforts to provide therapeutic and nutritional services through approved protocols, in addition to preparing a comprehensive plan to support liberated areas.
