The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), led by Malik, denied the circulating reports about its recruitment of South Sudanese citizens in training camps near the border, in preparation for their involvement in the conflict.

In an official statement, the movement affirmed that these allegations are “mere lies” aimed at inciting public opinion in Sudan and South Sudan, noting that the primary goal of spreading such rumors is to incite political and social crises and deepen the rift between the two countries.
