Higher Education affirms keenness to strengthen and develop Sudanese-Turkish relations

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,Prof. Mohamed Hassan Dahab expressed his happiness and welcome the signing of a number of public universities memorandums of understanding with the Turkish University of Konya, whose president is visiting the country these days, to strengthen academic and research relations between Sudanese higher education institutions Turkish counterparts.

Prof. Dahab explained when he received at his temporary office in Port Sudan Professor Mehmet Keling, President of Konya University of Food and Agriculture, and Dr. Yukhan Bozbash, academic attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Sudan, that the visit aims to promote and develop scientific research and investment in the agricultural and animal sectors, indicating that the agreements signed with public universities come at a time when the ministry seeks to rehabilitate the infrastructure of agricultural and animal colleges, which were directly affected, after being targeted by the rebel Rapid Support militia.

He pointed out that the agreements represent a historic opportunity to transfer knowledge and modern agricultural technology to Sudanese universities.
