Foreign Minister Receives EU Envoy to the Horn of Africa

Dr. Ali Youssef, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with the EU Envoy to the Horn of Africa, Anita Weber, relations between Sudan and the European Union, as well as the readiness of EU institutions to cooperate with Sudan to contribute to achieving stability.
This came during his reception yesterday of Ms. Weber at the start of her three-day visit to Sudan.
The Foreign Minister hailed the cooperation between the two sides, commending the EU rejection of the formation of a parallel government.
He breifed on the government’s efforts to end the war and establish security and stability.
Weber affirmed the EU’s support for a comprehensive political process without exclusion or discrimination, and its commitment to ensuring security and stability in Sudan.
