A high-level Saudi delegation discusses important economic issues

A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by its ambassador to Sudan, will arrive in the country in the coming days to discuss possible support for basic services to citizens, including energy, electricity, health, and water.
The Kingdom expressed its desire to learn about the government’s development priorities and essential needs in this area.

Dr. Gibril Ibrahim, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, expressed the government’s welcome of the Kingdom’s initiative and its support for efforts to rebuild and reconstruct what was destroyed by the war.
He emphasized—while chairing an expanded meeting attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, ministers, and representatives of federal ministries and units at the Ministries Complex today—the importance of focusing on urgent emergency projects in the areas of infrastructure and basic services.

Dr. Ali Youssef, Minister of Foreign Affairs, described the Kingdom’s move as a qualitative leap towards infrastructure projects and the reconstruction of Sudan.

The ministers agreed on the priority of the aforementioned basic services, along with a focus on projects in the agricultural and education sectors, and the infrastructure destroyed by the war. The importance of the Kingdom’s initiative to strengthen cooperation between the two brotherly countries and advance them to broader horizons to achieve common interests was emphasized.
