Renowned environmental expert stresses the importance of participating in reconstruction projects

Renowned environmental expert – former Minister of Environment – Dr. Hassan Hilal stressed the importance of benefiting from specialized cadres and expertise in advancing the country in the early recovery and reconstruction phase after the devastating war imposed on the country.
This came during the meeting that brought him together with the Director of the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies (AcoGaps) , Dr. Mahmoud Zain Al-Abidine, the Commissioner of the National Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Bashir Muhammad Bashir, the Deputy Head of the Sudanese Association of Trainers, Dr. Hassan Abakar, and Faqiri Obaidi, the former Vice President of the Sea Ports Authority.
In the meeting that was held at the headquarters of the AcoGaps in Port Sudan, a number of issues were discussed, most notably early recovery and reconstruction programs after the war, capacity building and administrative development, the environment and climate change and combating human trafficking, in addition to developing study and research centers to provide the state with technical support and studies that help in adopting effective strategies and plans.
It was agreed to continue the brainstorming sessions in order to support the achievement of stability and development of the country.
At the end of the brainstorming meeting, the Director General of AcoGaps invited the experts to honor the high-level training course on early recovery and reconstruction after the war that will be organized by AcoGaps Center next week in Port Sudan.
