Khartoum Governor receives the Director General of the Police Forces

Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Osman Hamza, today received the Director General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General (Police) Khalid Hassan Muhi El-Din, on a visit to Khartoum, accompanied by a number of members of the Police Command.
During the joint meeting with the State Security Committee, reports were presented on the progress of military operations and the victories achieved in various axes within Khartoum State and the ongoing preparations to declare Khartoum State free of rebellion, while the Director of Khartoum State Police, Lieutenant General (Police), Amir Abdel Moneim, presented a report on the criminal situation and the decrease in crime rates thanks to the joint efforts with all regular forces operating under the umbrella of the State Security Committee through the joint patrol, noting that the police have completed their deployment in Karari, Omdurman and North of Khartoum North, and have begun arranging for deployment in old Khartoum North, as well as rehabilitating the Omdurman, Halfaya and Al-Droshab stations.
He touched on the role of the security cell in supporting the security plan, implementing emergency orders and arresting collaborators and organized gangs that work in theft and forgery.
The Director of the Khartoum State Security Authority, Major General Al-Hassan Ali Muhammad Salih, said that the biggest threats they face are the spread of hate speech, and that foreigners constitute the biggest security threat. Khartoum Governor said that the more the liberated area increases, the greater our responsibility for urgent action to restore life increases, primarily by extending security, deploying forces and opening departments. This requires large expenditures that require the support of Khartoum State, which has lost most of its financial resources.
The governor referred to the foreign presence as the greatest threat through circumventing the asylum law and insisting on remaining among citizens, knowing that refugees, according to the law, must be present in a camp whose funding is the responsibility of the High Commissioner for Refugees.
The governor demanded the necessity of operating prisons to detain those against whom judicial rulings have been issued, in addition to those awaiting trial.
The Director General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General (Police) Khalid Hassan Mohi El-Din, said that his accompanying delegation from the leadership body was carefully selected to respond to the needs of the counterpart departments in Khartoum State because if the battle ends in Khartoum, it means its end in all parts of Sudan. He stressed that they are working with the partners of the security operation to achieve the overall goals and restore all state institutions in Khartoum State, adding that his visit primarily aims to support Khartoum North Locality, stressing their readiness to support all areas that will be liberated, announcing their readiness to restore public service complexes and that police hospitals will be open to citizens.
