Jibril stresses the importance of revitalizing the network link between customs and taxes

Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, confirmed Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, emphasized the importance of revitalizing the network linkage between the General Administration of Customs Forces and the Tax Bureau, in line with the state’s orientation towards digital transformation and to achieve the highest levels of cooperation and coordination, in a way that contributes to maximizing public revenues to meet the challenge in the field of mobilization.
The Minister indicated, during his meeting with the revenue units, with the participation of Prof. Abdullah Ibrahim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, today, stressed the importance of continuing the success achieved by the units in the previous year and increasing the chances of success for the current year, in order to enhance the capabilities of the economy and meet the requirements of the stage.
It was agreed between the General Administration of Customs Forces and the Tax Bureau to form a joint technical team to reactivate the previous network connection between them; It was also agreed to establish a unified window in the customs enclosures in Dongola and Meroe, with the aim of coordinating and integrating the work of the two units and facilitating customer procedures.
It is noteworthy that the meeting took place with the participation of the Director General of Customs, the Secretary General of the Tax Office, the Director of the General Administration of National Revenues and the Director of the General Administration of Information Technology at the Ministry.
