The integrated national campaign aimed at providing essential nutrition services within Khartoum State, specifically in the localities of Karari, Omdurman, and Umbada, is actively ongoing. This comprehensive initiative includes the identification of cases of malnutrition among children under the age of five, subsequently facilitating their transfer to appropriate service delivery centers. In addition to this critical identification process, the campaign encompasses the distribution of important health supplements, specifically bandazole and vitamin A pills, essential for promoting health among vulnerable populations. This outreach will persist until Tuesday, February 11, utilizing a systematic house-to-house strategy to ensure maximal coverage and outreach.

Moreover, the operations room responsible for overseeing this integrated nutrition interventions campaign convened a meeting today, Sunday, at the Reproductive Health Hall in Kassala city. The meeting was graced by the presence of the Acting Director of the General Administration of Basic Health Care, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdullah, and involved a thorough review of reports presented by communication officials. These reports detailed the progress observed on the initiative’s inaugural day, Saturday. Noteworthy discussions included the operational plans established by federal supervisors, logistical supply issues, and the geographical positioning of target areas to ensure efficient delivery of services.
