The Investigation Committee into the events of Camp Taiba in Gezira State takes the oath today before the Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council

Head and members of the Investigation Committee into the events that recently took place in Camp Taiba in Gezira State took the oath before the Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Ayre in Port Sudan today, based on the decision issued by the Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan to form the committee.

The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, confirmed in a press statement that the committee will begin its work immediately, by interrogating witnesses, hearing their statements, collecting evidence, and determining all the reasons, circumstances and conditions that led to the events, assessing losses, and taking all necessary measures to enforce the law, indicating that the judicial and regulatory agencies will work to achieve justice and establish the rule of law.

It is to be noted that Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision to form the committee, headed by Mr. Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, and the membership of others.
