Health Minister Inaugurates A hospital for obstetrics and gynecology in the Northern State

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, recently announced the inauguration of a dedicated hospital for obstetrics and gynecology in the Northern State, specifically in Halfa locality. In his address, Dr. Ibrahim extended heartfelt congratulations to the populace on the occasion of Independence Day, highlighting the substantial efforts being made to enhance healthcare services within the Halfa area.

He conveyed his gratitude to both the local and expatriate medical professionals for their unwavering commitment and significant contributions to the health sector.

During his visit to Halfa, the Minister held constructive discussions with the administration of Halfa Hospital, the Development Committee, and various local leaders. The focus of these discussions was the ongoing efforts to meet the critical needs of the newly inaugurated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, with a particular emphasis on its development into a recognized teaching institution. Dr. Ibrahim underlined the importance of addressing the various challenges the hospital faces, notably its current operating capacity of 35 beds.Plans to enhance the hospital’s infrastructure include the establishment of an oxygen station, the acquisition of an ambulance, and the improvement of resources at the Central Blood Bank in Halfa, alongside initiatives aimed at retaining qualified medical personnel in the region.
