Every day we learn new skills, we discover new hacks the make our life easier. In every day we make new discoveries, some are good, and others are not, and we – as human beings – are lucky if we are to make good use of our discoveries.
The invention of the airplane by Wilbur and Orville Wright was one of the great stories in American history. The Wright brothers’ invention not only solved a long-studied technical problem, but helped create an entirely new world. And that was the start of completely new era of inventions.
The passenger history of Airplanes started in 1799, when George Cayley set forth the concept of the modern airplane as a fixed-wing flying machine with separate systems for lift, propulsion, and control. Cayley was building and flying models of fixed-wing aircraft as early as 1803, and he built a successful passenger-carrying glider in 1853. And from there the revolution of aircraft has been in continuous improvement.
Air travelling is now considered one of the most prestigious travelling pathways. The numbers of airplanes are in continuous increase over the years, and aircraft companies are working very hard to dominate the sky. In a survey made by airliners.net, an aviation enthusiast website, it was estimated that there are about 39,000 planes in the world – including all commercial and military planes – and that over the course of history, there have been 150,000.
The costs of owning an airplane varies between $100,000, $300,000 and $1 million depending on the engine and models of the airplanes. Whereas the ticket costs for a long around the world tour costs between $3000 and $5000 per person.
All of the above-mentioned numbers and yet some people miss their flight because of various reasons, some reasons are because of the passengers, and other reasons are technical. USAToday reports that an average of 2% to 8% of passengers miss their flight, so lets be careful and not losing our future flights.
