The Board of Directors of the NHIF Approves the Budget for the year 2025 AD

The Board of Directors of the National Health Insurance Fund approved the Fund’s plan and budget for the year 2025 AD and the Fund’s fourth plan 2025—2028 AD, amid the consensus of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, and the Acting Director General of the Fund , that came today during the meeting of the Board of Directors in Port Sudan , chaired by the Federal Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, the Board approved the Fund’s performance report for the year 2024.

In media statements, the Director General explained that the plan for the year 2025 came within the framework of responding to the humanitarian situation, restoring health facilities destroyed by the rebellion, providing services in war-affected states, achieving leadership in including everyone in the umbrella of health insurance, besides, providing distinguished medical services with justice and sustainability that satisfy everyone, while the four strategy matrix came within the framework of institutional capacity building, maintaining population coverage by 86%, providing the necessary funding and optimal use of resources, in addition to raising insurance awareness, Strengthening partnerships, focusing on media and public relations plans, programs and projects to achieve the objectives of the Fund.
