IGAD Launches High-level Regional Forum on TSTS

The Executive Secretary of IGAD, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu and the Chair of Ambassadors committee, Mohammed Ali, permanent secretary for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation of Republic of Djibouti launched a two-day High-Level Regional Forum focused on the IGAD Regional Cooperation and Coordination Mechanism (RCCM) aimed at addressing Transnational Security Threats (TSTS) through the validation of the final draft of the statute and its operationalisation.

Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu
emphasized the importance of the forum for all member states, represented by the IGAD Committee of Ambassadors and the technical experts responsible for policy decisions, to prioritize effective interagency coordination and resource sharing to bolster our collective security efforts.
