Colombia apologizes to Sudan for its citizens’ p involvement as mercenaries in the Rapid Support Militia

The Colombian government apologized for the involvement of Colombian citizens as mercenaries in the terrorist Rapid Support Militia.
Anne Melania de Gaviria, Colombia’s ambassador to Cairo, expressed during her meeting with Lieutenant General/ Imad El-Din Mustafa Adawi, Sudan’s ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the shock of her country’s people and government upon receiving the news of the participation of Colombian citizens in the war in Sudan within the Rapid Support Militia.
She described the behavior as irresponsible, and conveyed her country’s government’s respect for the people and government of Sudan and its non-interference in its internal affairs.
For his part, Ambassador Adawi welcomed the Colombian government’s statements, explaining that this incident confirms the involvement of parties and countries in the war in Sudan, adding that the efforts of the Sudanese and Colombian governments must be focused on preventing the participation of Colombian citizens as mercenaries in the rebel militia.
At the end of the meeting, he stated that the government will provide the Colombian side with a comprehensive file on the participation of Colombian mercenaries in the aggressive war against the Sudanese state and its institutions.
