Al-Burhan Participates in Christmas Celebrations with Christians

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese vArmed Forces, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, participated today with Christians in their Christmas celebrations at the Catholic Church in Port Sudan, amidst a large popular reception. In the presence of Red Sea Governor and a number of executives and Christian clerics.
In his speech, Al-Burhan expressed his happiness to participate in these celebrations on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him.
He said, “We ask God that this anniversary will pass while our country enjoys the peace that Jesus Christ carried its banner,” indicating that the Sudanese do not deserve the injustice and tragedies that are happening to them, expressing his hope that this anniversary will come next year, and Sudan will witness peace and stability.
Al-Burhan praised those in charge of the ancient Catholic Church, which played a role in making Sudan independent and supporting the Sudanese state, calling for the necessity of adhering to the teachings of the tolerant heavenly religions that call for love and peace.
