The Bird of Freedom….. The Teacher Bird

The educational curricula in the seventies and eighties of the last century and even the beginning of the nineties were full of deep meanings that we realize in our public life in addition to the basics of learning by targeting the excellence of reading and writing,
And those curricula contributed greatly to education, but they tended to go beyond that by developing feelings and sensations and upgrading taste in various fields, whether in religious, national, psychological or artistic education,
Perhaps we are now required to restore the scene in elementary schools at that time through the reading book, which means the path to Arabic literature in a simplified form that carries within it many meanings and values. Take as an example that poem about the caged bird that was kept as one of the decorative tools for the beauty of its feathers and its melodious voice, so that the child who owned that bird was bragging about his poem, praising the shape of that bird:
I had a bird in a wooden cage ,,,,
His feathers are cute and his tail is long,,,,
He always sings in his lovely voice,
And I did not prevent him from eating or drinking,,,,
He ran away from me and went without the slightest reason,,,,
And he said to me my freedom cannot be bought with gold.
The lesson is not in those verses, but the whole lesson is in the child’s mind being ingrained that freedom is always one of the most precious values, and thus this means that the child should be aware from the beginning of his life and his beginning to learn the value of freedom and its meanings that even birds seek, how noble and wonderful it is for humans,
