Minister of Energy Reveals Strategic Partnership with China

Minister of Energy and Oil Dr. Mohy El-Din Naeem Mohamed Saeed confirmed during his visit to China the complete readiness of the pipelines that transport oil from the Republic of South Sudan to export ports via Sudan.
He had addressed the Oil and Gas Equipment Conference and Exhibition in the Chinese city of Xi’an and visited a number of Chinese companies working in the field of oil, pipelines and petroleum services.

He spoke about the country’s need for Chinese companies to enter to rehabilitate what was destroyed by the war in the Khartoum refinery, pipelines and depots. .

The Minister, who is leading a technical delegation to China, said in his speech at the Oil and Gas Equipment Conference and Exhibition in the Chinese city of Xi’an that Sudanese and Chinese companies have a long historical cooperation in the field of oil.

He stressed his endeavor during these tours to expand the benefit of the strategic partnership between China and Sudan in the fields of petroleum and its services, calling on China to expand investment in the fields of upstream and downstream operations, pointing out the importance of working to rehabilitate what the war destroyed in the petroleum sector, calling on the Chinese to do so, especially since the war in Sudan is at its end after the progress achieved by the armed forces on the ground.

In the same context, the Minister of Energy and Oil visited the CNLC company specialized in measuring oil wells and was informed of the development of the company’s work in drilling and measuring technology, calling on the company to return to Sudan to work in oil services.

The Minister and his accompanying delegation also reviewed the experience of the Bao Ji Iron Industries Company, affiliated with the Chinese CNPC Petroleum Corporation, and were informed of the extent of the technical capabilities and potential that China has reached in the development of the petroleum pipeline industry.

The Director General of the Sudanese Pipeline Company, Eng. Mohamed Saleh Osman, presented a video presentation on the oil squares in Sudan, covering the Red Sea, central and northern Sudan.
