Jaber briefed on the overall situation in White Nile State

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, 1st. Lt.General (Engineer), Ibrahim Jaber, stressed the importance of increasing humanitarian support to White Nile State in order to cover the needs of those arriving in the state.
His Excellency also promised, during his meeting today with the Governor of White Nile, Omar Al-Khalifa, to provide the necessary equipment to establish and rehabilitate water stations in addition to the electricity sector, which has been affected by the increasing pressure on the state.
For his part, the Governor of White Nile said that he briefed the member of the Sovereignty Council on the security, economic and humanitarian conditions in the state and his government’s efforts to provide the necessary services to citizens.
He added that the meeting discussed the effects of the siege of the rebel terrorist militia during the period preceding the agricultural season and the challenges facing the state regarding the provision of production inputs, and making the necessary arrangements to ensure the success of the winter season in White Nile State.
His Excellency referred to the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate Kenana Civil Airport to transport goods and passengers outside the state, in addition to paving and maintaining the roads.
