Al-Burhan Heads to Eritrea

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan headed this morning to the Eritrean capital, Asmara, on an official visit.

During the visit, Al-Burhan will hold talks with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, discussing the course of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, and issues of common interest between the two countries.

He was seen off at Port Sudan International Airport by Abdullah Yahya, member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Gali Ali Youssef, Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, and a number of ministers.

He is accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Culture and Information, Khaled Al-Aiser, and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
