Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lt. Gen. Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed the solidarity of the government and people of Sudan with the Palestinian people, praising their steadfastness and just and legitimate struggle to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

His Excellency said, while addressing the activities of the joint Arab-Islamic Summit today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, that a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East region will not be achieved except by ending the complete Israeli occupation of all occupied Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan, in accordance with Security Council resolutions and what was stipulated in the Arab Peace Initiative adopted in 2002.

“We join our voice with you all in appealing to the international community to accelerate the implementation of the two-state solution, cease fire, prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region, stop the forced displacement of the people of Gaza, and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the displaced and refugees” Al-Burhan added
