Customs smuggling workshop stresses the need for policies and legislation

The customs smuggling workshop called in the security vision paper to combat customs evasion, presented by Major General Youssef Abdel Aziz, Economic Security Authority, General Intelligence Service, for the need to implement policies and legislation that reduce smuggling,
The paper contained a vision related to security aspects and the need to deal with it decisively and pointed out the motives for smuggling, the most important of which are political motives to target the country by smuggling foreign currencies out of the country and flooding the market with goods that lead to problems and the exit of national productive sectors and the exploitation of the country’s resources, economic smuggling.

It stressed the need to tighten legislation and laws and the state’s efforts in combating smuggling by focusing on the role of the General Intelligence Service, many of which are related to coordination with various state institutions, and called for focusing on legislation and laws, besides the importance of the Sudanese legislator establishing a separate law on smuggling.
