Head of the TSC visits the Chinese oil group CNPC
On the sidelines of his participation in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, visited the headquarters of the Chinese oil-based CNPC Group, which is one of the largest companies working in the oil industry and extraction in Sudan.
During the visit, Al-Burhan received a further explanation from Mr. Dae Holyang, CEO of CNPC Group, about the company’s future plans, programs and projects in Sudan.
The CEO affirmed the group’s keenness and willingness to support and enforce oil projects in Sudan and contribute to the reconstruction of oil facilities destroyed by the rebel terrorist militia, and to continue working on oil exploration in the country and the development of the oil sector.
Al-Burhan also held a meeting with the management of the CNPC Group, where the meeting emphasized the prospects for joint cooperation in the field of the oil sector and development and the expansion of the new oil exploration in Sudan.
For his part, the Minister of Energy and Oil in charge, Dr. Mohy El-Din Naim Mohamed Saeed, said in a press statement that the meeting was fruitful cemented the company’s role in developing the oil sector in Sudan.
The two countries have overcome all obstacles and challenges facing the company to carry out its exploratory activities, advance oil development, address the company’s debts and expand new exploration.
The Minister of Energy and Oil in charge added that the meeting is a major and real breakthrough in the process of strategic economic cooperation between the two countries and the development of the oil industry in Sudan, expressing his hope that the visit of the Head of the Council to China is the beginning of more joint cooperation between Sudan and China in all fields, adding that CNPC is a model of the great economic cooperation between the two countries and has contributed to the transfer of point-making technology and training of Sudanese cadres in this field.
