Gezira Scheme in Arab League Agenda

During his participation in the Reconstruction of of Sudan’s Agriculture and Livestock Sector, Governor of Gezira Scheme which was destroyed as a result of the war, , Eng. Mustafa met with the Office Manager of the Arab League. secretary General, and Director of Sudan’s and Horn of Africa Directorate, Zaid Al-Saban.
The meeting emphasized the importance of Gezira Scheme and its huge main infrastructure a matter that qualifies it to play a, considerable role in achieving food security in Sudan.
Al-Saban affirmed that the Arab League will play a great role in supporting the scheme with urgent aid in the summer and winter season, so that the project contributes to achieving food security in light of the current situation.
He promised to raise the issues of Gezira Scheme in the upcoming meeting of the Arab League scheduled to take place end of current August in order to take the appreciate measures to support the project.
