Al-Burhan to visit China next week

Head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lieutenant-General Abdul Al-Fattah Al-Burhan intends to lead the delegation of Sudan participating in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which will be held from the second to the sixth of next September, in the Chinese capital, Beijing, in response to an invitation from the Chinese president and the Senegalese president, the alternate president of the forum.

Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, Sudanese Foreign Minister-designate, said that Al-Burhan’s participation represents an opportunity to discuss Sudan’s issues with the Chinese leadership and focus on activating China’s role in the post-war era, considering that the two countries have solid relations.
The visit will also be an opportunity to discuss all issues that concern Sudan with the participating leaders. Heads of delegations.

Ambassador Hussein added that the meetings will be divided after the opening session into four concurrent forums, including the belt and the road, agricultural modernization, good governance and the fourth forum on security and peace.

Al-Burhan is scheduled to hold talks with the Chinese president on the sidelines of the summit, besides number of African leaders, and will witness the Businessmen Conference, which will be held on the sixth of September in which number of Sudanese businessmen will participate.

The summit will be preceded by the meeting of senior officials on the second of September, while the meeting of foreign ministers will be held on the third, and the Beijing Declaration and Beijing’s action plan will be discussed in preparation for its submission to the summit to be approved.
