“We Endeavor to build partnerships with the British Council and the EU on Peacebuilding, Says Prof. Al-Sa’im

Vice Chancellor of Nile Valley University, Prof. Hassan Al-Haj Al-Sa’im, said that the university is ready to cooperate to build peace to bring about change in useful programs that push the peace process through entering into partnerships with civil society organizations.
He added, while addressing a joint training workshop on the importance of scientific research in enabling peacebuilding policies, organized by Nike Valley University in partnership with the British Council and the EU, that the next stage requires building real partnerships to build societal peace in light of the outbreak of war in Sennar, Gezira, Khartoum and Darfur, stressing the university’s commitment to implement the outcomes of the workshop through research and scientific studies to enable peace in local communities.
For her part, Dr. Hala Saleh Mohamed Nour, Director of the Peace Empowerment Project at the British Council, affirmed that the scientific research project is in 4 universities in Kordofan, Darfur, Nyala and the Red Sea, and that the project has trained 3,000 students to establish the foundations of peace in conflict zones.
She indicated that the project finances research projects that enable peace.
It is worth noting that the workshop will conclude sessions tomorrow 25 July 2024.
The opening program was also addressed by the Director of Training and Capacity Building Center, Dr. Bashir Fadl Almawla Alnazir, Dean of Scientific Research and Publication, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jaily.
