SSMO (River Nile) strengthens partnership with Ministries of Health and Animal Wealth

Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed, Director of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) – River Nile – received in his office in Atbara, Dr. Amal Ahmed Majzoub, Minister of Health, and Dr. Najda Al-Zubair, Minister of Animal Wealth, River Nile State.
During the meeting, partnerships and common topics with the two ministries were reviewed.
For her part, Dr. Nagda Al-Zubair, Minister of Animal Wealth, confirmed the importance of strengthening the partnership with regard to the health of meat and dairy, and examining the new factories and facilities in the state in terms of their compliance with the specifications.
She said that they are in the process of benefiting from the distinguished laboratories that were established according to the specifications, as well as training and cooperation through the joint committees.

Dr. Amal Majzoub, Minister of Health in the state, spoke after the meeting about the important roles of the SSMO in preserving human health through a number of common axes regarding import and export besides the application of specifications to medical service provision centers in the state.
She also ensured joint work through committees and a review of legislation that protects citizens.
Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed, Director of River Nile SSMO, praised the cooperation and partnership between the SSMO and the state institutions in order to implement programs that support the health of the citizens of the River Nile state, indicating that the SSMO witnessed a major shift in what concerns the rehabilitation of laboratories and is now considered reference laboratories, with the support of the SSMO head office, in the fields of cement, gold, food factories and industrial product inspection.
