Narcissistic Acts: No betrayal!

By: Alaa Babiker
The human race has always been a mystery, not only to itself, but to all the other creature out there. The human brain is designed in such a magnificent manner that no one would ever be able to design such program, everyone can try, but no one will ever succeed in doing so. It is the human brain that gives it the power to think, to evaluate, and to act accordingly. It is the brain that leads us to make choices, take sides, and to defend or betray our beloved ones. Speaking of which, the choice of betray is always a “choice”. Humans do make that decision by their own will, and its not just limited to a romantic one!

Humans betray in different ways. They betray their friends, their families, and as importantly, they can also betray their countries! Political betray is just another example, as everyone knows that politics might have actions that at certain circumstances might include some betrayal here and there just to keep the ball rolling. But National Betrayal is beyond politics. A human, after thinking or without, decides to choose his own sake over the lives of thousands, among which some he knows but really does not care about. It is the national betrayal that allows some to act without any conscience to win no matter what the consequences are, let it be harm, torture, death, or even war, as long as the pocket is filled there’s no need to think of any other thing.

One of the main factors that has led our beloved country to reach to where it is right now, is that many of the Sudanese has lost their national loyalty, not towards the country, but towards their own people. It is not just politics that led us to this position, it is our conscience-less brains that started the first spark of this war. And it is not stopping; many civilians are still cooperating with the enemy for their own interests. We are reaching nowhere but a dark and cold place. This is a call to all the Sudanese, let us unite and put a side any selfish interests. Let us stop betraying our country and our own people. Let us unite and become one strong entity that fights for each, not with each. We do this, and our beloved country Sudan will nourish as it had never before.

In the end, may Allah grant positive thinking, discipline, and wisdom upon our leaders to end this war.
