Narcissistic acts: Fall Forward

By: Alaa Babiker
Falling always seems to indicate unpleasant meaning, specially when the subject is about anything that is negative; going down, war, decreases, or even arguments that will lead to bigger fights and later on wars.
This article is to give a more positive meaning for falling, added to it one of the most powerful words (forward) will make a great sentence that will help everyone who thinks of it more positively to turn every negative thought into a more positive one.
One of the greatest motivational speeches ever said was the one titled (Fall Forward) made by Denzel Washington; who is an American actor, producer, and director. Known for his versatile work spanning over four decades of screen and stage. He has been regarded as one of the best actors of his generation, with The New York Times naming him the greatest actor of the 21st century in 2020.
Part of Washington’s speech says: (If I’m going to fall, I don’t want to fall back on anything except my faith. I want to fall forward. I figure at least this way, I’ll see what I’m going to hit. Fall forward.
Nelson Mandela said, “There is no passion to be found, playing small and settling for a life that’s less than the one you’re capable of living”). If we look at these few but very powerful sentences, we can clearly sense the great faith in these words. Without faith no one will ever trust falling, so let’s have more faith and fall forward.
Our beloved country Sudan needs more prayers from all of us, it’s falling backwards but with our prayers this falling will miraculously turn into forward falling. We need to stop now and switch our falling; and once we have our faith completed and directed towards our land and its people, only then we will have safe land to live in, and more stable home to take care of.
In the end, may God preserve our Land and grant wisdom upon our leaders to end this war.
